Thanks to my darling, nerdy, super savvy, new assistant Emily, I am on the road to blogging. We are currently in Zambia documenting for World Bicycle Relief. Please enjoy.
Leah Missbach Day has been a documentary photographer since 1995. She has exhibited worldwide and her images can be found in many special collections. (details upon request). She completed her MFA at Columbia College Chicago, where she was also an adjunct faculty member. The key to Leah’s visual approach is her unique ability to connect with her subjects. Her interest in moments from everyday life yields images that are simultaneously remarkable and ordinary.
Leah is one of the founders and the photographer for World Bicycle Relief. When not in the field she works with WBR’s marketing and development efforts. She also stands on the boards of ecoAmerica, an organization marketing the environment to America, and Chikumbuso a grassroots Women’s and Orphan’s project in Zambia.
